Observe: In this pictures I see negroes waiting by a building. They are in old ripped clothes. They seem to be waiting in line.
The first thing I noticed was the woman standing in the front of the building with another man and woman. I noticed that her clothes are ripped and they look older. She seems to be neither sad or happy. The people shown are two women and a man focused in the front of the picture. Other negroes are waiting in line by the building. They're clothes are older and ripped and they seem to be not happy or sad. I think they are waiting in line maybe for a job, or food. They are all carrying bags.

Observe: I see an african american famil. Their is no mother, but many children. The house is beat up and many of them are bare foot.I first notice that they are all in old clothing. They look sad and tired. The objects and people that ar shown are the father with five children and no mother. Their house is beat up and in bad condition. They yare all alined annd they whole feeling of the photo is old beat up and sad. I see rocks on the side and sand under the house which meant their was probably no foundation. THe wood on their house it breaking off. I think this was made to show how african americans were living in the state of the depression. Too show poverty and hunger. I was not a happy time. Their mother it missing from this image. This would be different becuase it wouldnt be so realistic showing how hard it was. This photo would be the same with different people but maybe better living onditions.

external image march.jpg
Observe: In this picture I see negroes marching and protesting o for their rights. Some ook tired and their are also whites in this picture.I first notice the signs. Their is a large group of people all dressed with much clothing. It looks like it is cold and they are protesting near a factory. The building looks beat up. THeir are signs saying "Where shall we live this winter?", "stop discrimination." THis shows people protesting the unfair fact that they are unemploye dand discriminated. It is harder for then to find jobs, work, money, and food. They also have an american flag up. This symbolizes that they care for their country. Many look tired, sad, and upset in the photo.

Observe: I this picture it shows two. young boys working. One boy has a bag full of cotton. Thier clothing looks old and ripped. They are in a large field picking cotton. They are making little money for their families. They do not go to school. They look tired and sad. I think this photo was made to show the harsh conditions that african american children went therough during the Great Depression just to provide money or food for their families. To get little pay so that they could survive. I think this picture was made to give and show impact of the lives and had time of poor people during the depression.

external image greatdepression_mattress.jpg
Observe: In this picture it shows women working during the Great DEpression. THey are working in a mattress factory. I see hay in the next room. They look of all ages and are all wearing uniforms. They were paid very little. This picture shows that people did anything just to get paid and to be able to provide for their families and for themselves. This picture shows that the factory was in North CArolina. It shows that many women worked on one mattress at a time. Their shoes look worn down and all the women look tired. I believe this was made to show how hard even women worked to live and provide for their families during the GReat Depression. There are no men working in the photo. We can learn that all women were assigned a certain job and they were off all ages. It took much time to make mattresses and they were still paid very little.
